What happens once I plea?
If you plea guilty or nolo contendere, you will be found guilty and should be prepared to pay the fine. If you are unable to pay in full, be prepared to document and explain your financial situation. If you plead not guilty, you have the right to retain an attorney or you can represent yourself. Since these are fine only offenses, you do not have the right to appointed counsel. If you represent yourself, no other person can assist you at trial.
